LABORATORY OF CERAMICS FOR CHILDREN

INTRODUCTION

Since prehistoric times, man has learned to mold the material and shape it to obtain items that could help him in life everyday. Working the clay is one of the oldest professions in the world and this experience will enrich the body of knowledge of children in a fun and enjoyable, making them feel small artist-craftsmen.

OBJECTIVES

The children will learn about the clay. Manipulating sensory experience and creative live very fulfilling. Develop dexterity and coordination, critical thinking and planning skills. They will have the opportunity to express their imagination by applying it to the creation of something concrete and real, as simple household objects (bowls, plates, glasses etc ...), or small sculptures. This ability to intervene on reality and to find solutions to small problems will increase their self-esteem and will make them feel active operators, a necessary condition in a society that tends to depersonalize and make more and more passive children.
